HOW IT WORKS

We give away $20,000 in 1 hour.

• We meet for one hour, four times a year, and each member (and guest) brings a check, cash or subscribes on Grapevine for $100 (or more…).

• Any current member can nominate local charities, non-profits, or worthy causes, whose names are put into a bowl.

• Three names of non-profits are drawn at random during each meeting.

• The 100+ Women Who Care Maui member, or a representative of the charity, makes a 5-minute presentation about her nominated cause and has 5 minutes for Q&A.

• All members who are present and current for the past 4 quarters, vote with a secret ballot, for one of the three causes.

• All members and guests write their checks out to the cause that receives the most votes. Right there on the spot!

It’s fast, simple, and amazingly effective. Plus, all the money stays right here in Maui County.

Download the Nomination Form (PDF) print on white paper and bring it to the next meeting if you have a cause or charity you want us to support. We will also have nomination forms at the meeting. Registration begins 60 minutes before the event starts. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in. Nominations close 15 minutes before meeting – no exceptions! Thank you for your understanding.
