Congratulations to Maui Search & Rescue!

As of our meeting on March 10, 2018, we’ve raised $7,200 for Maui Search & Rescue. Maui Search and Rescue is 100% volunteer organization dedicated to providing expert search and rescue assistance and community outreach education. The funds being raised will cover travel costs for their rescue to get officially certified on the mainland. Once the dogs are certified, MS&R will be able to apply for grant funding.

Are you planning to attend?

Welcome to our first meeting of 2018! We’re all set up, ready to go, and hope to see you there! Attendance is not required, though. Members may choose to send in a check if they can’t attend in person and your membership status will remain in good standing. Guests are always welcome and are expected to write a $100 check to the selected cause.

If you can’t attend, please mail your blank check for $100 to:
100 Women Who Care Maui
c/o Chelsea Hill
P O Box 788
Kula, HI 96790

We’ll fill out the selected recipient and deliver it to the selected cause. Why can’t you just send it to the cause directly afterwards? Because we track membership payments and because we want to measure our giving impact in the community. Thank you for sending your payment to us. You can also send the blank $100 check to the meeting with a friend.

Want to stay for dinner?

It’s optional, however, a lot of fun! Our host venue, Fleetwood’s, has a private from for you to RSVP and pay for your dinner in advance. Please do so as soon as your plans are confirmed. When you click the RSVP link, you will be asked for a password: 100women

More Event Details:

We encourage members to show interest on our Facebook event page and use it to arrange car-pooling too. Plus, you can see photos after the event!

Remember, only Members can nominate a worthy cause for the group’s consideration and the member must be present to nominate. Please fill out the Commitment Form here on our website if you haven’t already done so. Please review our FAQ if you have any questions regarding your membership or bringing guests.

Nominating a Local Cause

Only current members who are present can nominate a cause and only one nomination per member is allowed. Selected causes cannot be re-nominated for 48 months (2 years) and must be based here in Maui County. We strongly encourage you to download the form in advance so you can prepare your nomination thoughtfully and thoroughly. If your form is drawn from the bowl, you’ll be responsible for giving a 5-minute presentation explaining why you nominated this cause and then answer members’ questions about how the funds would be used.

Want to share our event with others?

If you use social media, please share our hashtag, #100WhoCareMAUI. Mahalo!

We also have a Downloadable PDF Invitation if you want to print and share with your friends. Page 1 is a full sheet; page 2 has two half-sheets that you can cut.
