Meeting Wrapup

Our members nominated three super causes:
La‘akea Foundation (Cat Chamberlain)
Maui Mediation Services (Linda Puppol0 and Bevanne Bowers)
Olanur – healing center (Melanie Lozano)

Cat Chamberlain receives $11,400 for La‘a Kea Foundation from Chelsea Hill.

We had 120 people attend, including 10 new members – Welcome! All three of our nominations this month are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations. La‘a Kea Foundation was voted as the leading cause. They are an organic farm community in Paia, Maui, where youth and adults with special needs thrive. Like the La‘akea Foundation Facebook page here.

Volunteers: Jen Oberg, Marti Wukelic, Tina Wildberger, Shareen Love, and Amanda Prouty. Your support was essential and we appreciate you arriving early and staying late. Photos by Roxanne Darling.

We are so grateful to The Mill House for hosting us. Our membership has really grown in 2016 and this means we depend on the venue to “s t r e t c h” to make room for us! We’ve received so many comments about the beautiful grounds and delicious food; plus, the central Maui location helps us support our island-wide membership.
